Friday night, November 23rd, the Poplarville Hornet (13-1) football team claimed the 4A South State Championship for the 2nd time in three years beating East Central 33-17. The Hornets will travel to M. M. Roberts Stadium (the “Rock”) on the Southern Miss Campus in Hattiesburg at 11:00 am to take on Louisville Wildcats (14-1) for the State Championship.
