PHS Athlete Signings

Poplarville High School Student Athletes make college decisions

Four Poplarville Hornets made their college choice official Thursday morning:

Rakeya Travis- Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Softball

As a Junior shortstop, Rakeya hit .519 with 8 doubles, 12 triples, and 32 RBI.  Rakeya is a 3-time All Region and All Coast Team selection.

Canaan RayMississippi Gulf Coast Community College Baseball

As a Junior, Canaan hit .526 with 41 hits, 12 doubles, and 27 RBI. Canaan was selected to the All Coast Baseball Team as Junior and is also an All Region performer in football, basketball, and baseball.

Tres Ray- Pearl River Community College Soccer

As a Junior Forward, Tres scored 21 goals with 5 assists. Tres was selected to the All Coast Soccer team as a Junior as well as All Region.

Bradley Stines- Pearl River Community College Soccer

As a Junior Center Midfielder, Bradley scored 6 goals with 6 assists.  Bradley was selected All Region as a Junior.
