Poplarville District Teacher of the Year Named

Leigh Ann Davis (pictured center), Middle School of Poplarville 8th grade ICT teacher, was named 2017-2018 Poplarville School District Teacher of the Year at the Monday, January 22 School Board meeting.  Ms. Davis was picked from four teachers who garnered their school’s teacher of the year honor.  Ann Bosworth (left) was selected as teacher of the year for Poplarville High School; Susan Keith (right) was selected as teacher of the year for Poplarville Lower Elementary; Kerri Farmer (not pictured) was selected as teacher of the year for Poplarville Upper Elementary.  All honorees were congratulated by the school board and given certificates by Carl Merritt, Superintendent of Schools.

“We have great teachers at Poplarville. To be selected as a teacher of the year is a special achievement,” stated Merritt. “We congratulate Leigh Ann as teacher of the year for the district and all the schools’ teacher of year.”
