TIME CHANGE for TONIGHT’S GAME

Poplarville’s game at Lawrence Co has been moved up to 5pm Friday due to weather.

The Poplarville Hornets clinched their 2nd consecutive Region 7-4A Title with a 69-34 victory over the Purvis Tornadoes Friday night at The Hornet’s Nest. The Hornets are now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the region. The Hornet’s ground game was once again dominating with both Austin Bolton and Cory Knight eclipsing 100 yds.  Tyson Holston along with Bolton and Knight also scored 3 touchdowns each. Poplarville continues to hold its  #1 ranking in 4A and moved up to a #6 overall state ranking.  PHS will travel to Lawrence County this Friday to finish out the regular season.  With a win the Hornets will finish undefeated in the regular season.  The last PHS team to do this was the 1972 team.
