MSP Partners with the Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition

Mrs. Shakeizia Jones, from the American Lung Association, is the Director of the Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition in Pearl River County. The Health class at the Middle School invited her to come and speak to the students about the harmful effects of tobacco use.

Students learned about the harmful effects of smoking and second hand smoke and what harmful ingredients make a cigarette. The students were also able to see hands-on displays of what smoking can do to your lungs and mouth.

The classes had a great time learning and really enjoyed the information that was shared by Mrs. Jones.
