The Hornets Competed for Top Positions at the Purvis Rodeo

The Poplarville High School Rodeo Team traveled to Purvis to compete in the Purvis High School Rodeo # 1 on Friday and Saturday evening, October 21st and 22nd.

Ross Barnett brought in First Place in Calf Roping.

Kason Davis and Bryce Graves brought in another First Place title in Team Roping.  Followed by Rachel Harris and partner in Fifth place and Brooke Ladner and Ross Barnett in Twelfth Place.

Rookie Dylan Traylor brought in Second Place in Barrel Racing.  Followed by Holli Ard with Sixth Place.

Rookie Brooke Ladner brought in Second Place in Breakaway Roping.  Followed by Holli Ard in Third Place; Jasy Lee in Sixth Place, and Dylan Traylor in Eighth Place.

Brooke Ladner and Marion Scott brought in Ninth and Tenth Place respectively in Goat Tying.

Dylan Traylor placed in Sixth Place and Brooke Ladner placed in Ninth Place in Pole Bending.

Ross Barnett and Chase Graves earned Second and Third Place respectively in Steer Wrestling.

We are very proud of our Rodeo Contenders.  Keep up the good work guys.

Join us next Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th as Poplarville High School hosts the Poplarville Rodeo at the Poplarville Fair Grounds.  Address is 109-191 Horticulture Rd, Poplarville, MS 39470.  The Rodeo will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 4th and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th.
