MATHCOUNTS 4 MSP

The MATHCOUNTS competition for the MS Gulf Coast district was held on February 12th at USM in Long Beach.

MSP was the only school that had two students place in the top 10 (out of well over 150 students)! These students were Christian C. and Micah D. Micah was called first for the Countdown Round and beat 5 other competitors. Due to time constraints, sudden victory was called, and the 6th competitor beat him. Christian C. then battled that competitor and Christian won. Christian came in 3rd place for the individual category and will be competing in the State MATHCOUNTS competition next month.

All ten competitors from MSP scored a high rank in comparison to the other competitors. Congratulations, guys and girls!
