PHS Tennis Report

The tennis team had a rough outing against county rival Picayune.  Two matches were settled in a third set tiebreak. The mixed doubles team of Marissa Baker and Alex Kemp came on strong to force the tiebreak. Unfortunately, Picayune was able to squeak out an 11 – 9 win in the tiebreak.  It was the same story for the boys doubles team of Caleb Davis and Ethan Spiers. The boys came roaring back to force the tiebreak. They fell 10 – 6 in the tiebreak. On the winning side for the Hornets were Caleb Jones, Phoebe Nix, and Hannah Cail. Next up is Lumberton.
