Roberts Speaks to Classes

Mrs. Hope Robert’s marketing classes at Poplarville High School welcomed 2009 honor graduate Colby Roberts as a guest speaker on December 15, 2013.  Colby recently graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in classics and economics, and he is currently studying law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  He spoke to the marketing classes about the importance of economics in today’s society.  To reinforce the objectives for marketing, he also demonstrated supply and demand curves and gave real world examples of the economy.  Colby concluded his presentation by answering questions and by leading the students in a class discussion about the economy in the United States.
