Campus Declared Safe

On Monday, January 29, 2018 the Poplarville Police Department and Poplarville School District officials investigated an alleged bomb threat at the Poplarville High School campus.

The written note was discovered and reported to staff at the end of the school day on Monday afternoon as students were leaving the campus for the day.

Officers and officials investigated into the night to ensure the safety of all students. A specially trained canine unit from the Biloxi Police Department swept the campus for any evidence and none was found. Law enforcement officials deemed the campus safe.

School schedules were not and will not be affected by this incident.
