CDC Career Development Center

The Career Development Center (CDC) is located at 9 Career Center Circle, Poplarville, MS 39470. It is conveniently situated directly on the Poplarville High School Campus and serves PHS students interested in pursuing a Career Pathway in one of the following Career Clusters:

·         Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources
·         Arts, A/V Technology & Communication
·         Health Science
·         Hospitality & Tourism
·         Marketing, Sales & Distribution

HOSA Blood Drive

The PHS HOSA program is sponsoring a blood drive at Poplarville High School from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, November. 19, at the Career Development Center (CDC).  All students 16 and older are invited, welcome and encouraged to donate at this event.
Sixteen year olds must have a permission form signed by a parent or guardian before they can donate.  Students must have a picture ID.

Students Visits Waste Water Plant

The Poplarville Agricultural Environmental Science Class visited the Poplarville Waste Water Treatment Plant Friday, November 8, 2013.  The students learned that Poplarville’s waste water (sewage) is transformed from sewage to clear water that is returned back into the water cycle. This process is done by a natural process that is aided by technology.

Fall Festival Silent Auction

A selection of the items that will be in the silent auction for HOSA’s Teaming Up With St. Jude event this Saturday. This display has been placed in the teacher's work room at PHS. All of the items for bid will be visible this Saturday.

CDC Allied Health Field Trip

Poplarville High School Health Science 2nd year students toured Pearl River Community College Campus in Hattiesburg Thursday, September 26, 2013.  The students saw the following programs:  Medical Lab Technician, Surgical Technician, Dental Hygiene, Radiology, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assisstant,and Dental Assistant.
