DMT "Dubbing" Project

In film and television production, the art of syncing sound effects or music with what is happening onscreen is called “dubbing”.  This job is not as simple as it seems; it often takes hours of trial and error to get precise timing.  First-year Digital Media Technology students got to test their dubbing skills on some short animated films, adding music and sound effects to set the tone, and each student showed their finished video to the class.  One student in particular stood out:  Dylan Rosenbaum.  He used a short called “The Egyptian Pyramids” (the original can be seen here), removed the audio, and inserted his own music and sound effects using Logic Pro X.
